Emozioni Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Emozioni is a quarterly magazine on emotional intelligence published and sold by:

The site emozioni.ch is the digital platform through which Veritable AG presents and provides subscriptions, editorial content, purchases, donations and related services.

2. Services offered

Emozioni offers the following services:

Digital subscription — access to the digital content included in the purchased plan and to the reader personal area.
Print subscription — delivery of the print issues included in the purchased plan. The Print subscription does not include access to the digital content reserved for Digital or Supporter subscribers.
Supporter subscription — includes both the print component and the digital component, in addition to any benefits described on the subscription page.
Gift subscription / voucher — the option to purchase one or more gift subscriptions through the dedicated flow. The buyer receives the corresponding gift code and a printable PDF voucher to give to the recipient. The code can be redeemed within 180 days of the issue date. The subscription term starts at activation and remains valid for the full duration of the chosen plan.
Single digital issues — purchase of and access to a single issue in digital format, as indicated on the site.
Donation — a free contribution in support of the editorial project, without automatic attribution of the benefits provided by subscriptions.
Newsletter — periodic communications sent following voluntary signup.

Some services require account registration and verification of the email address.

Veritable AG may modify, suspend or discontinue a service for operational, technical or editorial reasons, giving reasonable advance notice to directly affected users when the change impacts a service already purchased.

3. Registration and account

To access the personal area you must register by providing your first name, last name and a valid email address.

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for the activities carried out through your account. In case of unauthorised or suspected access, contact info@emozioni.ch promptly.

Veritable AG may suspend or close an account in case of misuse, violation of these terms, fraudulent activity or a security compromise.

4. Subscriptions, prices and duration

The available plans, the content included, the duration and the current prices are shown on the subscriptions page.

Prices are shown in Swiss francs (CHF) or euros (EUR), as displayed on the site, and represent the final price inclusive of applicable taxes, unless expressly indicated otherwise before purchase.

For Print and Supporter subscriptions:

shipping is included for addresses in Switzerland and Italy;
for destinations outside Switzerland and Italy, direct online purchase is not available;
the customer must contact Emozioni before purchase to check availability, cost and shipping arrangements.

Subscriptions do not renew automatically. Each subscription covers only the purchased term and ends on its expiry date. Before expiry, Emozioni may send a reminder for an optional manual renewal.

4.1 Gift subscriptions and vouchers

You can purchase one or more gift subscriptions through the dedicated flow available on the site.

After purchase, the buyer receives the corresponding gift code and a printable PDF voucher to give to the recipient.

The gift code can be redeemed within 180 days of the issue date. After that period the code can no longer be activated.

The subscription does not run from the voucher purchase date: it starts when the recipient activates the code. From the activation date, the subscription remains valid for the full duration of the chosen plan.

From the activation date, the gift plan is subject to the same features and conditions as the corresponding Digital, Print or Supporter plan.

5. Payment methods and commercial documents

The payment methods indicated at checkout are accepted, including:

Credit or debit card — payment processed via Stripe. Full card details do not pass through and are not stored on Emozioni servers.
Bank transfer, where available — activation occurs after receipt and verification of payment.

If payment is unsuccessful, the subscription or purchased content is not activated.

Veritable AG issues the commercial documents required by applicable law.

6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers resident in the European Union

Consumers resident in the European Union may withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving any reason, in the cases and according to the procedures provided by applicable law.

For a Print subscription, the period runs from the day on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the first issue of the subscription.

For a Digital subscription or the purchase of a single digital issue, the period runs from the conclusion of the contract. The right of withdrawal on the digital component is lost only when:

the consumer has expressly requested that access begin during the withdrawal period;
has expressly acknowledged that, with the start of performance, they lose the right of withdrawal;
Veritable AG has provided confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium.

For the Supporter plan, which comprises a print component and a digital component, the waiver relating to digital access does not automatically remove any rights applicable to the print component.

To exercise withdrawal, it is sufficient to send, within the applicable period, an explicit statement to info@emozioni.ch, indicating the details needed to identify the order. The consumer may use the model form at the end of these Terms, but is not obliged to do so.

When withdrawal is valid:

access to the digital content concerned is interrupted;
Veritable AG refunds the amounts due within the legal deadlines;
for the print component, the consumer returns what was received at their own expense, unless a mandatory provision states otherwise or the error is attributable to Emozioni;
the refund of the print component may be withheld until receipt of the returned goods or proof of shipment, within the limits allowed by law.

Customers resident in Switzerland

Swiss law does not provide a general right of withdrawal for online purchases. With these Terms, Veritable AG does not grant an additional contractual right of reconsideration, without prejudice to any mandatory rights provided by law, including those relating to defective or non-conforming performance.

7. Subscription expiry

Subscriptions do not renew automatically and end at the expiry of the purchased term. No cancellation is therefore required.

A subscription cannot be cancelled with a refund during the term already purchased, except for the valid exercise of the right of withdrawal under section 6, an error attributable to Emozioni, defective performance or other applicable mandatory rights.

8. Delivery of the print magazine

Shipping is included in the price for addresses in Switzerland and Italy.

Single issues are not sold in print format. The purchase of a single issue is available exclusively in digital format and involves no shipping.

For a Print or Supporter subscription with delivery outside Switzerland and Italy, the customer must contact Emozioni before purchase. Emozioni will communicate availability, cost and shipping arrangements based on the destination, the total shipment weight and the applicable rates. The order is confirmed only after acceptance of the conditions and of the total cost communicated.

Any customs or import charges are handled as communicated to the customer before order confirmation.

Delivery times are indicative and depend on the editorial calendar and the postal service. Emozioni is not liable for delays attributable solely to the carrier, but commits to helping find a solution when the issue is reported within 30 days of the expected delivery date.

Changes to the shipping address must be communicated to info@emozioni.ch at least 15 days before the dispatch of the next issue.

9. Content and intellectual property

All texts, images, layouts, logos and other materials published on Emozioni are protected by copyright and belong to Veritable AG or the rights holders indicated.

Emozioni is a registered trademark of Veritable AG.

Without written authorisation, it is not permitted to:

reproduce or distribute the content for commercial purposes;
systematically publish excerpts, complete issues or layouts of the magazine on other channels;
use the Emozioni name or trademark in a misleading or unauthorised way;
share credentials or make reserved content accessible to third parties.

Personal, non-commercial sharing of short excerpts or links, with clear attribution of the source, is permitted within the limits of the law.

10. Acceptable use of the platform

While using the site and the services it is not permitted to:

access reserved content or areas without authorisation;
transmit viruses, malware or malicious code;
attempt to compromise the security or availability of the service;
register multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions;
share personal credentials with third parties;
use automated systems to systematically extract or reproduce the content.

11. Liability

Veritable AG commits to keeping the site and services reasonably updated and available, but does not guarantee the complete absence of interruptions, technical errors or temporary unavailability.

To the extent permitted by law, Veritable AG is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from events not reasonably within its control.

Links to external sites are provided for informational purposes. Veritable AG does not control and does not guarantee the content, accuracy or data-protection practices of third-party sites.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law.

Disputes arising from the interpretation or performance of these terms fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Lugano, Canton Ticino, without prejudice to the mandatory rules on jurisdiction and consumer protection applicable in the customer's country of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

Veritable AG may update these terms to reflect changes to the services, operating methods or applicable law.

The updated version applies from the date indicated on the page. Significant changes that affect services already purchased are communicated to affected users with reasonable advance notice, where necessary.
